Experience our renowned, and eventually quite famous, Afternoon Tea in our beautiful restaurant premises. Afternoon Tea is a British company tradition that originated in the 1840s. Most famous for the “invention” was the Duchess of Bedford, who felt the hunger creeping in between lunch and dinner. To satisfy her cravings she asked the court to make her a pot of tea, with bread, butter and something sweet. She found the meal so pleasant that she would eventually invite guests to keep her company, and this is what we today call Afternoon Tea.
In recent times, Afternoon Tea has developed into a proper feast, with finger sandwiches, sweets, freshly brewed tea and preferably a glass with bubbles. You can book a table directly here or send an e-mail to restaurant@opus16.no. You can also contact us on +47 53 01 22 00
